Thank you for your interest in the Governor General's History Awards.

We are now accepting applications for the Governor General's History Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Governor General's History Award for Excellence in Community Programming.

To submit an application, you must first sign up and create an account. You will then be able to select the appropriate award, fill out the necessary forms, attach the required documents, and request letters of reference.

Note for Teaching Award applicants: Canada’s History is testing a new two-stage application process. Past applicants will need to create a new submission using the new form. If you have previously applied for the award and would like to access your previous submission, please contact Brooke Campbell at bcampbell@canadashistory.ca for a pdf copy.
